Everyone needs a Helper.

Hello bloggers! I am Ana Góngora and this week I am the helper,

This week it was my turn to look for the information the facilitator asked me for and make some slides of the big Power Point, some of them were about how to make a good presentation, others about Creative Common and finally about energies (the topic we had previously chosen), in my case solar energy.

Apart from those things (all the members had contributed to them) I had to reunite all the slides of my partners explaining 20 tips about how to make a perfect presentation in a class and also explaining everything about Creative Common.

Finally, I had helped the Star in her big role trying her not to learn everything by heart and understanding (both of us) what our topic was about. It is important to remark that (even the star was quite nervous) she did it perfectly and we had beat last activities’ result explaining all the Power Point on time and everything as we had determine. Now is our moment to be more close to our “future pupils”.

If I had to underline a bad thing about our week is the fact that always we need to change little things in the last moment. We really need to understand better the activities and do them at the first time.

With this role I have learned that everybody is really important in a group and all of the members have to contribute, thanks to our weekly work we are improving day by day. Hope we will continue like this.

See you all next week bloggers!!!

The best collaborator will be the best facilitator.

Hello bloggers! I am really glad to see you again. This week I had to be the facilitator role which is in my opinion one of the most complicate and hardest role. Here, you have a list of the different roles and a picture of every member of the group in which you can see the roles of my colleagues:

·         Inma Álvarez: Facilitator.

·         Carmen Carpena: Journalist.

·         Julia Egea: Analist.

·         María García: Translator.

·         Ana Góngora: Helper.

·         Lucía Grau: Curator- Farmer.

·         Mari Carmen Molina: Star.

As we can see, the main responsibility the facilitator have is to facilitate and to collaborate with the other roles. From my point of view, all the roles are really important to complete the activity and without any role we wouldn´t be able to achieve the work. Moreover, each one has some characteristics and are really different from the other roles.
However, this role is the most challenging because you are the “boss” of the group and you have to try to do the best as possible. Besides, if there is any problem with any members of the group and there is a misunderstanding among some members you have to intermediate in order to sort out the problem. So, you have to be as the “psychologist” of the group.

This week has been a strange week. I tell you… First of all, we met on Tuesday to do the new activity which was about Creative Commons and how to do a good slide share and an oral presentation. We read all the information that Linda gave us and we also saw all the videos she recommended to us. Then, I shared out the different slides every member had to do about the 20 tips and creative commons. When we decided how to do the slide share and we had decided the topic, we did the storyboard.  We put together all the slides every one did. Therefore, at the end of the night we had almost the whole work finished. We were really proud of us because it was the first time we did the activity in just a day.
However, we went to the Linda´s class on thursday in order to check the work we did (lucky for me we did it) because we did the storyboard completely wrong thus all the slide share was wrong too. Every time Linda asked us a question, we realised more and more that the slides did not have nothing in common. So, unluckily, we had to meet at the week-end to finish and to do the slides again.
I expect the next time we go on improving and learning about our mistakes.
See you next week.
                                                                                                                                              INMA.

Presentation with other groups, by the analyst.

This week we had to make an extra task, when we arrived Monday to class our teacher told us we had to get together with two other groups (SevenUp and ItSchool) and make our three jobs just one. The three stars had to make a joint exhibition with a maximum duration of eight minutes.

As I was the analyst of my group, I look at analyst of the other two groups and discuss with them some things about his work, such as how they had done the job, how would you assess this task...

About what seemed to me to work with other groups, could have been better. We had little time to organize all our content (30 minutes) and the star of each group wanted to do his own work as it was best know each other. This was a major problem organization, which derive in slowness, lack of control, boredom and outdated presentation, which resulted incomplete because we are out of time.

Beacuse this wasn't be a good experience work with other groups this week, but we are sure we will not return this to happen. This error has helped us to correct our way of organization and we are sure that next time we will do much better.

Here you have some photos of the above:

Thank you very much for the other two groups, despite the problems it was nice working with you.

I hope you liked it, see you soon bloggers.

Lucía.
