Hi! I'm Mari Carmen and I've been the helper this week.
This finally last week was about different kinds of leadership teams. Each group had to create a profile for each of the different leadership style. I was in charge of the Participative Leadership style.
I read carefully what were all the styles about. Then I made my participative leader profile in fakebook.com for school elections.
I found interesting the fact that depending on how you act you will get some results or another from your collages, employes, .... It's quite curious.
Thank you so much for been reading our post all this time
Hope you enjoyed them as we did
Bye!! :)

We had to perform four Fakebook profiles of the four types of policy there.
Monday when we got to school, Linda was a sweepstakes and the four profiles were divided into different groups. They came together in pairs different class groups.
Then we prepared and conducted a debate in which the two stars of the groups exposed their ideas about their type of politician, being defending his candidacy and attacking the other candidates.
Here I leave some of the photos taken, the preparation of applications for our profile, authoritarian, with the SevenUP group, and the representation in the discussion of our stars Maria, and Ana de SevenUP.

Shining as a real Star
Hi everybody!!
I am María and this week my role is the "Star". I have already been star but it was quite different due to I only had to present our video in class. This time, I have been involved in a debate.
It was a good experience but I missed the round of discussion but it was a very interesting session.
Our leader to defend to was the Authoritarian one and we used three profiles of all of the our colleges, here you have the links to those one that we used to prepare our final profile for the debate:
http://www.classtools.net/FB/1136-NYkPTm (powerpuff teachers)
http://www.classtools.net/FB/1625-rnH6WM (SevenUp)
http://www.classtools.net/FB/1000-bbRk3e (power teachers)
In my opinion, the best profile of all, for the leadership of a school, is the participative. Although we had the authoritarian profile to defend in the debate; and it is a bit difficult because is quite difficult that people vote for a person how is going whatever he/she thinks.
The participative is the best option for me personally due to this profile is aware of everyone at school, opnions or advice even comments are take in account and all of the staff participate when a decision has to be taken.
The links of our own group's leadership profiles are:

CARMEN AS A CURATOR FARMER
Hello everybody!
I am Carmen Carpena, a member of the group 'The PowerPuff Teachers' and this week I am the... CURATOR FARMER!!
This week we have done profiles of fakebook to do a campaign to vote for us in a type of elections. We have had to explain the good things about our type of leadership (authoritarian, participative, transactional, transformational) to convince people to vote for us and not vote for the other participants. It has been a very nice and funny work.
Here you can see all the references we have used to do this work.

Translator post
My name is Julia and this week I am the Translator. But not only that, as four representatives were requested, I was part of them, I was the Transactional Leader.
Now I am going to describe the most important terms of this week.
- Authoritarian: this type of leadership directs the center on their own way. They also want everything going how they say, so they are going to do anything. They are egoists, and they do not use motivation on their workers. It could similitate with dictator.
- Participative: this one is more close to their workers. They hear everything they have to say, and do whatever so they are happy. They want their workers to share and participate in every project.
- Transactional: in order to have a good environment and the work well done, they focused on the supervision so they know exactly what they have to improve, also they want everything very organized. They use the reward/punishment style so they work harder and better.
- Transformational: this leader is the creative one. They want to identify all the problems that have to change. They use motivation and morale to make out of their employees, better workers.
- Leadership team: this team is the one that is in charge of the school. They have to guide in any circumstance, and also they have the power of instruction so they can manage the knowledges of their workers. And, of course, they direct the center.
Thank you very much for reading!

The more you collaborate, the more you facilitate!
Hello everybody!
This is the last time that maybe I write in this blog because this course is
almost over. Feelings of sadness and happiness come to my mind remembering this
long trip of this subject. In my opinion, we have learned many many things, we
have had really fun with our own group and with the groups of the rest of the
class, we have shared a lot of things and we have lived such good as bad things
but always we have learnt with those things.
This week we had
to do four profiles in fakebook related to the four types of policy: transformational,
transactional, participative and authoritarian.
So, in order to do
this activity we met on Wednesday. We did not have any type of problem about
the meeting and we spent not so much time to do the activity. We read all the
information Linda gave to us and then we create the profiles.
On Monday our star
and the star of Seven Up answered the questions that the moderators gave to every
group defending their authoritarian leadership and face with the other groups
that like us, they defended their leadership style too.
Well, the roles of
this week have been:
-
María
as a star.
-
Carmen
as a curator-farmer.
-
Ana
as an analyst.
-
Julia
as a translator.
-
Mari
Carmen as a helper.
-
Lucía
as a journalist.
- Inma (me) as a facilitator.
We hope you enjoyed this long trip we are really glad to have shared with you!
With love ... INMA ÁLVAREZ
Last analyst... for the moment!
Hello
bloggers, it’s Ana here again, but this time is the last one… I am a little bit
sad, because taking into apart all the stressful moments this subject has given
to us, we have laughed a lot and had a good time.
But well,
let’s focus on the last week of work. This time we have to discuss about the
leadership team at school and we did a kind of debate in class, so we had to
chose which has performed the best, we were not one of those, but personally I
think that we did it quite well and also we had a difficult situation because
we were the first who had to talk.
For me the
best moment of the week was this last time at class, was our last grouped work
together and it is going to be hard not to come running to the university on
Monday to be on time. Maybe the worst moment (as always) was to choose a day to
prepare the activity because we had to be focused also in the portfolio so we
had to change some of our plans... but as I have said it was going to be the
last time, so we had to be more flexible, in terms of timetable if it could be.
This
activity has been maybe not easier than the rest of the activities but it has
been more “interesting” because we are really close to the elections so making
the profile of Fakebook has been interesting as well as funny. As I have said
before maybe the worst part as always has been look for a moment to spend
together.
Personally
I think that is one of the things we have to improve for other subjects.
Working in groups is never easy in these terms but I think that we have
improved a lot since the beginning even thought we have to continue improving.
Hope you
have enjoyed our blog and maybe one day will return to this blog world.
Kisess!!

Journalist post
Hello, and wellcome to The Powerpuff Teachers blog! I am the Journalist this week.
The aim of the wark of this week was to create a video talking and solving the stuation that other group have gave us. Power Teachers was that group.
We met on wednesday, that day all of us came to my house and eat all together, so we didn't miss a minute, a almost inmidiatly, we started to work. As we all had already read the law and the coexistence plan of one school, we started thinking how we solve this problem. In order to save time, Lucia and Ana started to record while the rest though the solution. Then we want to a school near my house to record the rest of the video. Once we have finished we all came back to our homes.
We decided to assambly tha video in class, but I have all the video, because the camera is mine. I was very ill that day so I didn't go to class. I felt very guilty so I assambled it. As I was doing it, I thought about puting subtitles so it can be understand, so I divided the videos, and the other made it.
Once it was finished I uploaded it to Youtube, and also I save it in a pen drive.
On monday, we saw all the videos. At first we started to comment out loud the videos and what were their three good things, and also what we missed. But we were very slow at first, so we saw the last videos without talking about them. After that, Linda told us to go on our class videos and coment with the three good things and one bad. It was hard due to the quality of all the videos, but all of us have something to improve.
Thank you class for all your comment, we expect we can improve all of what you have told us.
Best regards, Julia.

Analyzing the situation
Hello everybody!
This
week I am the analyst again. I think this is one of the most important roles
because you have to analyze everything your colleagues have done in order to
complete the activity and you have to pay attention all the time because you must
evaluate them the better as you can.
This week has good
things and moments but also bad parts or moments too, as the previous weeks.
However, I think that this week has more good moments than bad moments.
First of all, on Monday
every group had to create a conflict. Our conflict was about Pablo, a eleven
year-old boy, who behaves badly because of a problem in his house. Teachers
believe that the behavior of his parents reflected a violent situation between
them.
With this conflicts, we
had to create a piece of news in which the star was the reporter of the news.
In our case, we did the conflict of Power Teachers which is about a P.E teacher
who committed sexual abuse to his female students.
As always, we had the
same problem… We did not agree about the hour and the day in order to meet and
do the activity because everyone have different schedules. So, after arguing
and suggesting everything we thought in order to everybody of the group could
go, at last we decided to meet on Wednesday.
In my opinion, our
problem is that we are always complaining about wasting time if we met but, I
think we waste more time deciding because we have to dedicate time to this
subject no matter what…since we have to spend much time if we want to pass it
so, it is a reality and we have to accept if we have to spend the whole
afternoon doing the activity. This is a thing we have to improve…
Moreover, we had a
problem with the activity because in every Coexistence Plan we read we found
students-students conflicts, always against children. Luckily, our colleague, María found the Coexistence Plan of the law in which specify every kind of conflicts.
On the other hand, there
were not only bad things, but also there were really good things. For example,
we had really fun recording the video especially when we have to record the
advertisements which are really funny thanks to our good actress Lucia (our
star). We could not stop to laughing with the outtakes too so, we had a blast J.
In addition, another
good thing is all the things we have learnt with this activity. We have learnt
what is the Coexistence Plan, every school have a different one and this is an
important thing to know if it is a good school or not. We have learnt how to
sort out many types of problems because we have also seen the videos of the
other groups and they have different conflicts…
I think our video is a
good one because we have included in the video many perspectives: the mothers
of the some victims, how this problem is seen from outside (a mother who have
just had a baby and know the school very well), the tutor and the headmaster.
If we did not include the victims perspective was because we think they are
affected and they are underage. Therefore, this is a thing that we have to
conserve because we spent time wisely in order to do the activity the best as
we could.
To sum up, I think this
activity is really useful for our future as a teachers because it will help us
in order to a better solve the problems we can have with other teachers,
students and parents at the school.

Curator-farmer post
Hi there!
I'm Mari Carmen and for this week I was in charge of curator role.
We worked on Coexistance Plans, that are those that must be followed in case "normal" cohabitance on schools get troubled. We had to record a documentary video about an example case written by another group and upload it to youtube.
So, we started looking for coexistance plans in primary schools in Murcia and what the law says about them. We compared both documenets and started figuring out how we could represent it. We thought about the several things we would take into account, such as which point of view we would adopt (girl's, P.E teacher's, mother's,..).But finally we opted for the adults interviews one in a kind of "Powerpuff Girls"news called "Townsville alive!".
In the overall of this week I feel happy. We only meet once, so I thing it is great we are getting used to be effective when it comes to planning and distributing work. In fact, we changed several times gathering date, but we all manage to find the best moment.
The more remarkable issue of this week project, in my view, was when I read Mariano Aroca's coexistace plan and thought "ummm, I can't find the solution just following this as a guide". And going strait away to borm documment where it was said the same but also naming teachers and other adults of the school as trouble makers.
We found out, to our surprise, that our primary school coexistance plans didn't contain conflect resolution for teachers-teachers, parents-teachers, students-teachers; meanwhile in the BORN document it was stablish a protocol for all of them.
It's kind of tricky the only ones considered problematic enough, in most of the schools,to be in coexistance plans were students.
